"Greetings, you should visit the sea which is liquid. This place on this planet, the globe, is fantastic! People are transported, many kisses in the boats!"
Eleni & Taria
"Dear Extraterestrial very sore legs, I am in exertion and are these funny! A piece of land that sticks out of the body allowing Africa, the landscape, soreness and discomfort your planet. So when you are sunburnt - stupidity!"
Kind Regards
Robyn & Michail
These postcards were made during the creative course Sounds of the Surround.

Drawings from Hong Kong

In Hong Kong as elsewhere, words such as Posh, Style and Quality are used in a kind of double bluff, as though the word itself transformed the object - I say Posh therefore I am. The word Style is strewn across a T'Shirt in a market known for it's fakes. Here the western word is used in place of the signs of quality that we would normally use to recognise style or value; workmanship, price, limited availability. So English words become a kind of lowest denominator. At one point a woman simply said to Will 'Buy something'. English becomes the sign while for me all Chinese characters are like graphic signs themselves...
